Development Assistant [4314]

Faith-based, social justice organization seeks a part-time, temporary Development Assistant to strengthen donor relations and support the gift processing and acknowledgement process. This position provides direct support to the Development and Leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Code and track all checks using Salesforce database.
  • Process credit card and electronic fund transfer payments.
  • Generate financial reports and reconcile deposits.
  • Follow up on declined and incomplete donations.
  • Run mail merge of acknowledgement letters.
  • Ensure letters and welcome packets are signed appropriately and mailed to donors.
  • Update member contact information in internal database.
  • Receive and respond to inquiries from members via phone and email.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and prioritization skills.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with faith-based and advocacy organizations a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with database management and high-volume data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience using mail merge a plus.

Requirements:

  • Must commit to the role for a minimum of six (6) months. Job is near Union Station metro.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service or administrative experience.

Rate: $23 per hour
