Longstanding nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of STEM seeks a Program Assistant to join their team. This position will provide administrative and programmatic support for external initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the conceptualization and implementation of STEM development programs.
- Raise awareness of the organization’s role in STEM.
- Proactively contribute to conceptualizing, developing, writing, editing, and finalizing official correspondences and other external-facing documents.
- Liaise with external consultants, other staff and administrators within the organization, and the STEM reform community at large.
- Process and organize invoices and payments.
- Manage proactive calendars and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and data sharing files, order office supplies, and act as the first point of contact for the organization.
- Develop and comply with administrative procedures to ensure office efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills with a close attention to detail and deadlines.
- Effective time management, project management, and collaboration skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting software, data sharing platforms, as well as survey development systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with solid editing skills.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in program management
- Event planning experience preferred
Salary: mid $50ks
