Educational nonprofit seeks a permanent Assistant Director of Development to facilitate donor acquisition and retention and support fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Continually manage and develop fundraising programs alongside the senior leadership team.
- Establish annual fundraising goals and assist with the implementation and execution of projects.
- Support the donor acquisition processes by identifying potential donors and corporate partners, creating gift proposals for prospective donors, and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders.
- Lead prospective donor meetings and handle inquiries.
- Identify important metrics and trends in fundraising and provide suggestions for improvement based on findings.
- Manage fundraising database and assist finance team with ensuring financial procedures are updated.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage projects effectively.
- Ability to both collaborate and work independently.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
- Responsive and attentive to the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated professionalism and strong judgment.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of previous experience in fundraising or donor relations.
- Previous experience working for an association or higher education organization preferred.
Salary: $75,000 – $77,000 per year.
