National nonprofit seeks a temp-to-perm Legal Assistant to provide administrative and legal support.
Responsibilities:
- Distribute documents to clients, such as intake packets and letters.
- Update and maintain spreadsheets and client databases.
- Review submitted client documentation and provide status updates as necessary.
- Scan, upload, and combine client records.
- Determine program eligibility.
- Assist with data collection.
- Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Solid database management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines effectively.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Experience interacting with clients via phone and email.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate.
- Minimum of two (2) years of legal experience.
Rate: $20 per hour while temping.
Salary: $46,000 – $50,000 per year once permanent.
