Foundation focused on affordable education seeks a permanent Advancement Assistant.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong communication and liaise with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate gifts for donors, board members, and event leaders.
  • Maintain records and update internal database system.
  • Maintain membership module.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of meetings, events, and ceremonies.
  • Support departmental projects and objectives by assisting with project management.
  • Other duties and tasks assigned which support the company mission.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement given minimal direction.
  • Strong foresight and ability to anticipate needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong commitment to the company’s mission.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of administrative experience.
  • Previous experience working in a nonprofit organization a plus.
  • Previous experience working with veteran families or military services a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

Salary: $55,000 per year.
