Legal Assistant [3181]

National nonprofit seeks a temp-to-perm Legal Assistant to provide administrative and legal support.

Responsibilities:

  • Distribute documents to clients, such as intake packets and letters.
  • Update and maintain spreadsheets and client databases.
  • Review submitted client documentation and provide status updates as necessary.
  • Scan, upload, and combine client records.
  • Determine program eligibility.
  • Assist with data collection.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Solid database management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Experience interacting with clients via phone and email.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of legal experience.

Rate: $20 per hour while temping.

Salary: $46,000 – $50,000 per year once permanent.
