Downtown law firm seeks permanent Legal Secretary to support principals with a variety of administrative tasks and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and edit correspondence for principals.
- Electronically file correspondence accordingly.
- Transcribe text from recorded tapes.
- Manage principal’s inbox and sort items by priority.
- Reference and access important documents as needed.
- Coordinate meeting logistics by taking minutes and preparing materials.
- Update and maintain internal documents, such as contact lists for vendors and clients.
- Track expenses and process expense reports.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and lodging.
- Prepare informational travel packets for company trips.
- Manage and update internal calendar with information on travel, meetings, and phone calls.
- Additional duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines effectively.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment given minimal direction.
- Strong administrative skills.
Requirements:
- Previous legal experience.
Salary: $65,000 – $90,000 per year.
