National association located in Falls Church seeks a temp to perm Marketing & Communications Specialist to assist with communications plans and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Create social media content and develop company website, improving online presence.
  • Track data and analytics of company website and social media sites.
  • Create and distribute press releases, newsletters, and feature stories related to company programs.
  • Support the grant and sponsorship fundraising proposal process.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives and campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, HTML, CSS, WordPress, Google Analytics 4, and common website management platforms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, English, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications or marketing field, preferably within an association or non-profit organization.

Rate: $25 per hour while temping.

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 per year once permanent.
