University’s Federal Relations office seeks a permanent Office Administrator to assist in advancing advocacy priorities and initiatives. The position is based in the Washington, DC office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage travel arrangements and process expense reports.
  • Manage internal calendar and coordinate meetings.
  • Maintain electronic and hard-copy filing system.
  • Correspond with vendors and suppliers to maintain physical office space and equipment.
  • Handle work orders and inquiries.
  • Monitor office’s operational spending.
  • Assist with budget planning and prepare budget forecasts and analyses.
  • Coordinate service repairs for office systems.
  • Prepare social media content and newsletters.
  • Identify effective systems and methods to improve workflow.
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Event planning experience a plus.
  • Experience in managing office budgets and IT troubleshooting a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Salary: $68,000 – $74,000 per year.
