Operations Assistant [4352]

High-end DC specialty store seeks a temp-to-perm Operations Assistant to oversee business operations and provide project management support.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Systems and Technology Director with new POS system rollout.
  • Ensure data and processes in previous systems are documented and transferred properly.
  • Establish project timelines for internal operations teams and monitor progress.
  • Provide progress reports for director.
  • Work with vendors and negotiate contracts.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations.
  • Maintain daily communication with directors and CEO.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent business acumen.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively and execute tasks in a timely manner.
  • Previous business operations or management experience.
  • Technologically proficient and experience working with vendor, retail, or internal metric systems.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience.
  • Previous retail and customer service experience preferred.

Rate: $22 per hour while temping.

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 once permanent.
