High-end DC specialty store seeks a temp-to-perm Operations Assistant to oversee business operations and provide project management support.
Responsibilities:
- Support Systems and Technology Director with new POS system rollout.
- Ensure data and processes in previous systems are documented and transferred properly.
- Establish project timelines for internal operations teams and monitor progress.
- Provide progress reports for director.
- Work with vendors and negotiate contracts.
- Prepare and deliver presentations.
- Maintain daily communication with directors and CEO.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent business acumen.
- Ability to solve problems effectively and execute tasks in a timely manner.
- Previous business operations or management experience.
- Technologically proficient and experience working with vendor, retail, or internal metric systems.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience.
- Previous retail and customer service experience preferred.
Rate: $22 per hour while temping.
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 once permanent.
