Trade association seeks a temporary Legislative Affairs Coordinator to support daily operations for their busy Capitol Hill office.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule internal meetings and prepare pertinent materials and documents.
- Handle logistics for onsite events and coalition meetings.
- Coordinate executive tasks for senior leadership.
- Track expenditures, process invoices, and support yearly budget planning alongside senior leadership.
- Coordinate grassroots program activities and fly-ins.
- Interact with external building vendors and serve as the point of contact for maintenance needs and tenant requests related to parking and building access.
- Monitor office inventory and order supplies as necessary.
- Assist with additional special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Effectively manages workload in a fast-paced working environment.
- Positive, professional attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing environments.
- Familiarity with standard office policies and procedures.
- Strong computer and software skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in government affairs or with political campaigns.
- Previous administrative and event planning experience.
Rate: $20 an hour.
